Life is just what it is..
Meditation, self enquiry etc. are an expression of freedom not a means to freedom. But since no activity can aid or hamper Liberation any sort of dismissal of these practices is incoherent. If these activities arise, they are what is happening. Their dismissal subtly implies that there is such a thing as a right or wrong way to approach Liberation. Also, any talk of a practice merely "making the prison more comfortable" is meaningless. Life is as it is. To move towards comfort and away from pain is the natural intelligence of the organism. Making the prison more comfortable is nature at work (there's no you, remember). It makes not one iota of difference to Liberation. Life is just what it is right now - whatever is happening.
